| Our Preschool
Classes are designed to introduce beginning dance and tumbling skills to
children ages 5 & under. Skills taught include a combination of
pre-reading and math, music and movement, and flexibility acrobatic
exercises. Teachers focus on introducing students to the joys of
music, movement and all aspects of a quality arts education. Students will learn pre-ballet, pre-tap, pre-jazz and pre-acrobatic skills. All preschool age students will need to have ballet shoes. These should be dance shoes with leather soles and not dance slippers sold at discount stores. Preschool Dance & Pre K Dance students will also need to have student tap shoes. Any color or style can be used for classroom instruction. We do sell inexpensive beginning level dance shoes at our school that are comparable in price to Payless and Wal-mart. (starting at size 7) Due to the importance of classroom management, we ask that parents leave their child with the instructor and wait in the lobby, allowing the teachers to get acquainted with the students and also to be able to keep their attention throughout the class time. Parent watch times and classes will be held periodically throughout the year so parents can observe students' progress.
