Cathy’s Faculty

Cathy’s Creative Dance School employs a staff of technically trained and experienced dance educators.  All teachers have pursued performance dance or acrobatic sports education at the university and/or have danced at the professional level.  Our school follows the Dance Masters curriculum and syllabus lessons for Classical Ballet, Ballet Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Modern and Preschool Dance.  Ballet instruction includes the Cecchetti method syllabus and exams.

Miss Cathy Zeysing

Miss Cathy is the owner and artistic director of Cathy’s Creative Dance.  She holds a Bachelor of Science & Arts Degrees in Elementary & Secondary Education, English, Reading & Dance from the University of Central Missouri and University of Missouri Conservatory of Music and a Master of Education Degree in Creative Arts from Lesley University.  Miss Cathy is certified by the Cecchetti Ballet Council in Grades I, II, III and IV.  She has recieved DMA Dance Teacher Training from Kent State University and is Kindermusik certified.  Miss Cathy is a Show Troupe coach and Assistant MATS coach.

Miss Amy Kimsey

Miss Amy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado with an emphasis in Mathematics.  Miss Amy has danced professionally in DeKalb, Illinois and has been a dance team director and coach for Manor High School Dance Teams in Manor, Texas.  She is currently assistant coach for the Blue Springs HS Glitter Girls.
